Itinerary
5 Nights / 6 Days | Guwahati – Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Dawki
Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong | Umiam Lake, Ward’s Lake & Police Bazar
Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station and enjoy a scenic drive to Shillong. Stop at Umiam Lake, surrounded by pine hills. Upon reaching Shillong, check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit Ward’s Lake and Police Bazar. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 02: Shillong Local Sightseeing | Mawphlang, Elephant Falls, Laitlum Canyon
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion around Shillong. Visit the Mawphlang Sacred Forest for a serene nature walk. On your return, explore Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for stunning views. In the city, stop by the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures. End the day at Laitlum Canyon for a breathtaking sunset. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 03: Shillong – Cherrapunjee | Waterfalls, Caves & Viewpoints
After breakfast, check out and drive to Cherrapunjee, famous for its dramatic landscapes and waterfalls. Explore Mawsmai Cave, Arwah Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Wah Kaba Falls, Thangkharang Park, Mawkdok Dympep Viewpoint, and Garden of Caves. Check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight in Cherrapunjee.
Day 04: Cherrapunjee | Flexible Exploration Day
This day offers flexible options to suit travel preferences:
Option 1: Trek to Nongriat for the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, lagoons, and Rainbow Falls. Ideal for adventure lovers.
Option 2: Shella River Excursion with boating, village exploration, and Khasi culture insights.
Option 3: Leisure day at the hotel to relax and enjoy the views.
Overnight: Cherrapunjee
Day 05: Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shnongpdeng – Shillong
Depart early for a scenic drive to Mawlynnong, Asia’s Cleanest Village. Explore the village, Single Decker Living Root Bridge, Balancing Rock, and Jaflong Zero Point with views of the Indo-Bangladesh Border. Continue to Dawki and Shnongpdeng for boating on the transparent Umngot River. Return to Shillong by evening for an overnight stay.
Day 06: Shillong – Guwahati | Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for onward journey.
